Mediation is a way of resolving disputes between two or more parties. The mediator’s role is entirely independent and is to assist the parties in reaching their own settlement.
With ever increasing court fees and the cost of litigation now a significant factor Mediation is one of the forms of Alternative Dispute Resolution that is providing a solution to peoples’ issues.
Court is not the only way of resolving disputes. Mediation is an alternative that allows the parties themselves to achieve an outcome; one that is often not within the ability of the Court to order.
Between 80 and 90% of mediations result in a successful settlement either on the day or shortly afterwards.
Penmans Mediation has been structured to provide an affordable package for parties to resolve issues between them. We cannot mediate in respect of issues affecting our own clients (by definition we would not be independent) but we can offer this new service to everyone who is looking to resolve issues, whether or not they already have their own solicitor involved.
