Resolving issues through mediation
As solicitors we have been involved in dispute resolution for many years. The Courts now require all parties to consider ADR before starting litigation and we advise all clients to consider Court proceedings as the last option to resolve their issues; not the first.
Mediation allows parties to address the issues they have, consider options beyond the simple value and legal framework, and explore areas of common ground to move towards resolution and, possibly, a solution that the Courts simply do not have the power to consider.
Rather than acting for one side against the other, we are able to offer mediation to both parties as a means of resolution of their issues and as a cost effective alternative to Court. The mediator is there to take an entirely neutral stance and through the confidential process of mediation help guide the parties towards a solution that all find acceptable.
